A high intensity interval training workout (HIIT) is designed for maximum calorie burn in the shortest amount of time. Aim to keep your workouts short but at a very high intensity level, try to really push yourself. Ideally your high intensity workout should not last longer than 45 minutes but it should be leaving you completely exhausted. Your rest duration between each exercise should be quiet short in order to force the body to use its glucose and fat stores to generate more energy and in turn increase the rate of fat burn. Breaks of no more than 10 seconds will help you to stay motivate and maintain higher heart rate. Please don’t forget that a high intensity interval training workout (HIIT) can also help to increase your body’s lean tissue, which can result in increase in your metabolic rate and help to maintain your healthy weight.
